Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. (Galatians 1:10 NLT)

Whatever we do in life, it should be done for the glory of God.

If we find that we have to seek the approval of man rather than the approval of God, something is very wrong with what we are doing.

Mankind was created by God therefore God should take priority in his life whether it has to do with worship or work or even entertainment.

If God is not pleased with what we do then what we are doing is wrong. If God does not approve of the message we are preaching then why do we preach?

If God does not approve the work that we are doing then why do we do what we do?

but as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

(1 Thessalonians 2:4 )

Even when we decide to go somewhere and the Spirit of God prompts us not to go, when we do otherwise, we are outrightly disobeying God. Disobedience is a sin.

That was the first sin that plunged the whole world into darkness.

We may take God's approval lightly but if God is not pleased with us, we are in trouble.

It is amazing that whenever we go outside of God's will to do as we like and all hell breaks loose in our lives, then that is the time we come crying to God for help.

We do take God for granted too often but it is time for us to check our hearts; to check our motives; to check our ways and repent and turn to God for His will to be done in our lives.

Once we begin to live according to God's will, we gain His approval even when man does not approve, but God in the end is glorified.

and whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. (Colossians 3:23-24)
