Being grateful is more than just a feeling of saying 'thank you', being grateful is an action which shows how appreciative we are for something done.

But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD. Jonah 2:9

When we are grateful to God for His goodness, when we say thank you, our whole being reflects just how grateful we are.

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. Psalms 9:1 NIV

God deserves to be praised with a grateful heart. When we each awake every morning and can see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, everything we do throughout the day, will be a reminder of just how good God is.

O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: For his mercy endureth for ever.

Psalm 107:1

Singing a song of praise unto God every day is a good way to show to God just how grateful we are.

A song tends to rise from a heart that is at rest or at peace.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: Because his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 118:1 KJV

Let it be a daily practice of showing to God how grateful we are of who He is and for all that He has done.

Even when things do not go the way we planned it, it is still good to give thanks because what we are experiencing does not change who God is.

No wonder the Word of God tells us to give thanks in everything.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

When we practice to give thanks in everything, it leaves no room for complaints and the enemy will not get the chance to rob us of our joy.

May we practice to start each day, being grateful to God for just being God and for making the difference in our lives.
