My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. (James 1:2-3)

Unless we yield to temptation, it is not such a bad thing to be tempted because our faith is tried and this works patience for us.

No wonder the Word of God tells us to give thanks in everything and everything still means everything.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

(1 Thessalonians 5:18 )

It therefore means that when we are tempted, this gives us an opportunity to go to God with a heart of thanksgiving, remembering also, that all things work together for good to those who love God.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28

God can never lie. Whatever He says in His Word, if we practice it, we will live a victorious life and be overcomers.

God is not a man, that he should lie; Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19

When we are tempted, we should rejoice because we are presented with a situation that will cause us to give thanks while at the same time, learning how to be patient.

Once we have overcome that temptation, we have a testimony to tell someone else so they too will know that because we have overcome, they will overcome also.

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. (James 1:12

So no matter what temptation comes our way, let us rejoice because God has made a way of escape and we will be so much stronger for not yielding to that temptation.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

(1 Corinthians 10:13 )
