But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:26) 

The Holy Spirit has His purpose in our lives and for that purpose was He sent into the earth. 

When Jesus came, He came as the son of man as well as the Son of God. As the son of man, He had to walk among us to show us that it is possible to walk in this sinful world with God as our Father.

Jesus was limited in His bodily form and so was unable to be in more than just one place at any given time. He therefore had to go back to His Father so that the Holy Spirit could come. 

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:” (John 16:7-8) 

We cannot survive in this World without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. 

Everyday that we awake, we need to have dialog with Him because He knows the way of life and the way to life. He sees ahead of us; He knows the plans of the enemy for our lives but He has the power to steer us clear of all the devil's schemes. We must play our part. We must hear and obey the voice of the Holy Spirit as He gives us instructions daily. The Holy Spirit's purpose is to teach, guide, protect, empower us in our walk with God. But do we even understand who we are?

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16 )

Do we even know that we are not our own? We can't just do as we like because our bodies are the temple of God?

Isn't that amazing? Until we get that revelation through the power of the Holy Spirit, we will be living below God's standard of holiness. 

We are not able to live up to God's standard on our own, hence the purpose of the Holy Spirit indwelling within us. All it takes is a daily surrendering of our will.

The wisdom that we seek, comes from God through the power of His Holy Spirit. He also gives knowledge and understanding. Our lives are useless without the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  We need Him.

“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” (Ephesians 1:17-18)

The Holy Spirit Is waiting for us to yield to Him so that He can empower us to live in the glory of God the Father.
