Bishop Patrick Ritchie & First Lady Mayecha Ritchie
Bishop Dr. Patrick Ritchie was born in Kingston Jamaica and raised by his grandmother, Alice Morgan, in Abbucka, St. Ann, who recognized the calling of God upon his life and helped to cultivate the anointing that would make that calling effective. At the age of eight he had a bleeding problem and he was miraculous heal by his grandmother prayer and she told him that God has called him into the ministry. He later lived with his mother, Viris Higgins, who continued to encourage him to walk in God’s purpose and at the age of seventeen he gave his life to the Lord and entered bible college.
Bishop Dr. Apostle Ritchie began preaching at the age of 21 years. Ministry has been the glue that held his life together and sat under the tutelage of a number of men of God - great stalwarts in the gospel, who helped to lay a solid foundation that has shaped his ministry today.
Having accomplished over 30 years in ministry, Bishop Ritchie is uniquely gifted in the areas of faith, giving, serving and leadership; and flows decisively in the five-fold Ministry gifts Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. One would think that ministry limits one’s life however, the opposite is true. Being a Minister of Religion has equipped him with practical experiences in the area of relationship, problem solving, organization, leadership and support. Ministry has impacted every area of his life.
Seminary training saw him completing a Masters of Divinity at the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology, a Bachelor of arts Degree in Theology at the Caribbean School of Theology (Global University); and a Diploma in Biblical Theology at the Assemblies of God Bible College in Christiana
Additionally, Bishop Ritchie, is completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Education at Heart/NTA. He is also an experienced professional with certification in Management and accounting
These experiences and studies make him a seasoned preacher, an excellent teacher, administrator, businessman and accountant. In his over 15 years of accounting experience he has held managerial positions in major businesses in Jamaica including Polly Foods, Ringo Limited, Charley’s Windsor House and Reggae to Wear. He did financial consultanting, and held positions as class room teacher for seven years and also in Bible school
His life as a Minister and a professional is greatly interwoven and since he is always seeking to improve his spiritual life, upgrading himself is very important to him.
Bishop Dr. Apostle Ritchie is the husband of one wife, Mayecha Ritchie. They have three children: Mahaileyah, Abbiegail and Joshua, who are his biggest supporters.
