“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (John 17:17)
“For the word of the LORD is right; And all his works are done in truth.” (Psalm 33:4)
Where there is no truth to spoken words, it creates chaos and confusion. When we look at all of creation that came about with such order and precision, we do understand that the words spoken by God at creation came with truth, power and order that even creation had to obey.
What is it with man that causes us not to always take God at His Word? His Word is truth. If they were taken as 'thus saith God', and we had the understanding that He means just what He says, our lives would be in great order.
What is missing from our lives, is the fact that we do not take time to sit in the Word until the Word gets into us. Considering that Jesus Christ Himself is the Word becoming flesh, if we took Jesus for who He truly is, our lives would be one filled with power and great glory.
Our very essence would be the essence of Christ in the earth and we would be a force for the enemy to reckon with.
The devil wreaks havoc in the earth and seemingly with such ease, because he has his disciples doing his bidding.
What if the children of God begin to do their part as disciples of Christ and take Him at His every Word, and walk in obedience?
The Word of God tells us that we would do greater.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
When will we take God at His Word?
May the truth of God's Word penetrate our hearts until His Holy fire burns within us, propelling us to believe and accept His every Word, bringing order to our lives and ultimately to our world because He means every Word He says.
